FAQ
- Q: Are there any check engine-type errors?
- A: No, all on board diagnostics are passed
- Q: What fuel does this car require?
- A: 95 Unleaded pump fuel
- Q: Are there any downsides to this conversion?
- A: Aside from an insatiable appetite for petrol, the air conditioning is lost due to the placement of the turbo
- Q: Is this kit bolt-on?
- A: No, the kit includes new internals to drop the engine compression and better handle the increased power
- Q: What is wrong with the stock internals?
- A: Lightweight components designed for a high-revving, high-compression naturally aspirated motor would never be reliable in the long run with the power and torque that this conversion is pushing out
- Q: Is this a remote turbo?
- A: No! The exhaust manifold is specifically designed for a super-short path from the exhaust ports to the turbo housing. In fact, we have removed the air conditioning compressor in order to fit the turbo as close as possible to the engine
- Q: Tell me more about your exhaust manifold?
- A: Our patented cast manifold received a major update in this S54 application and features two separate exhaust gas paths, one for cylinders 1-3 and another for cylinders 4-6. These feed directly into a twin-scroll turbo housing, allowing us to get some of the benefits of a branch manifold in a super compact package
- Q: What is the price of the conversion/kit?
- A: It will be announced as the kits are available, but we hope it will be extremely competetive considering the poower gains
- Q: When will kits be available?
- A: We are in the final stages of kit production and preparing to do more conversions locally, please bear with us
- Q: Can you build my engine for me?
- A: Together with kit availability, we plan to offer engine building as a service if you do not feel comfortable installing the new internals by yourself
